Japanese Acupuncture and Kampo, trained by Dr. Miki Shima since 1991. Originally attended ACTCM, graduated 1990. Studied in Tawain 1974-75. Lived in Japan 1984-85.
Worked with internist for six years in an integrated health clinic. Have taught a number of courses on Japanese acupuncture and Kampo including, "Shakuju and Guiding the Qi," "Abdominal Diagnosis and Kampo," "Introduction to Shonishin Japanese Pediatric Acupuncture," Menopause, Gastrointestinal Illness, Upper Respiratory Illness and others all focusing on the use of Kampo and Japanese acupuncture. Certified as an instructor of Japanese acupuncture by Dr. Miki Shima after ten years of training in addition to a three-year specific course for instructors of which there are only three other Americans who completed this. I really enjoy finding and treating patterns of imbalance and helping to restore homeostasis to people.
