Tracy became interested in acupuncture after being treated by Dr. Thomas Duckworth for asthma. The results were so impressive that she began a four-year apprenticeship with Dr. Duckworth in Japanese Kototama Medicine. She graduated in 1998 and obtained her state as well as national acupuncture license. Tracy has been lucky enough to focus her studies exclusively on Japanese acupuncture. Since the fall of 2011, she has been practicing Shakujyu therapy, a very gentle and effective method that includes acupuncture, as well as moxibustion and handwork.
I am happy to be a board member of HDHS since I firmly believe in the gentle effectiveness of Japanese acupuncture and I want to spread the word to as many people as possible. It feels good to be a part of an organization that brings world class teachers to the U.S for our education and studies.
